Caraway Curry House

Caraway Curry House located just a 6 minute walk from Kamakura station offers tasty curry for a super decent price! Choose your toppings and load up on rice - perfect after having walked all the way to the Great Buddha and temples!

Dankozura Kosuzu 段葛 こ寿々

Dankozura Kosuzu is kind of an institution in Kamakura. Handmade soba is their speciality and is what you should order, however they do have a few other things on the menu, including udon. Try the Japanese sweets too! Prices are very reasonable here also and only a 7 minute walk from Kamakura station.

Oxymoron Komachi

Oxymoron (yes that is the name) is a super stylish cafe serving up a new-age take on a Japanese curry - think fresh and hip! There's always a huge line here, so make sure to get there early if you're planning on eating here. Not too far from the station arriving after a 5-6 minute walk. There's plenty more than just curry on the menu too. Try on the desserts!

Dolce far niente

The Japanese do Italian extremely well at Dolce far neinte! Located a short walk from the station there's lots of yummy dishes on their menu that give you a bit of variety - with plenty of light options. Scrumptious salads and and creamy pastas to name a few. The fare here is pretty good value for money. Coffee is great too!

Café Vivement Dimanche

So you're probably thinking "Brazilian in Kamakura?!", but this place is a must try if you can make the trip here. Somewhat cafe, somewhat Brazilian "eateria" the food here is amazing! The chefs have pulled off something special here and definitely worth a try. Even if you don't want food they have waffles that match perfectly with their delicious coffee. Not too far from the station either or the rest of the sites.
