Honey toast is a popular Asian dessert that has really been gaining in popularity in recent years. If you have a sweet tooth you have to try it! Here are five places in Tokyo that are famous for their delicious honey toast desserts.

Honey Toast Cafe (Akihabara)

Honey Toast Cafe, located just a 3-minute walk from Akihabara Station, is administered by Pasela, which is a Karaoke chain famous for its honey toasts. The honey toasts there start at ¥930 and you can customize them with extra toppings. You can add a drink to your order for an extra ¥250. The most popular item there is the Chocolate Banana Honey Toast (¥1,080). The cafe opens at 9 AM, so you can even make it your breakfast.

Miyabi (Jimbocho)

The honey toasts here are so irresistible because of the danish-like bread that they use. They have a few types that include seasonal specials such as the sakura honey toast available in the spring. You should definitely try the "wafu" (Japanese style) one which comes topped with some tasty matcha ice cream, some adzuki sweet beans, and "kuromitsu" (a kind of sweet black syrup) as a sauce. They combination of flavour is just spot on. The prices here are between ¥600 to ¥800.

Miyabi is located within a short walking distance of Ochanomizu, Jimbocho, and Suidomashi stations.

Ken's Coffee (Ginza)

Ken's Coffee Shop is a high-end kind of traditional cafe in Ginza serving some really delicious cakes and some of the cutest latte art you will ever see! They have a signature cafe latte that is topped with a milk foam in the shape of cats. As for their honey toast, it's simply topped with honey and has some ice cream and whipped cream on the side, but the taste is outstanding and worthy of this kind of classy cafe. The honey toast and coffee set is ¥1,280.

ABC Canteen (Shinjuku)

ABC Canteen is both popular for its affordable healthy meal options as much as they are for their sweets. You can have honey toasts there that are voluminous and beautifully decorated with lots of toppings. They have similar desserts that are made of pancakes and waffles instead of the regular honey toast bread. ABC Canteen is located on the 8th floor of Lumine Est, which is directly connected to the Shinjuku Station.

Karaoke Pasela (Various Locations)

Honey toast is the signature food item of the Karaoke chain Pasela. It's almost customary to order at least one honey toast to share when people go there with some friends.
