8bit cafe in Shinjuku, Tokyo For All You Nostalgic Gamers!

8bit cafe is a tiny cafe/bar in Shinjuku's very famous Golden Gai area. The cafe serves, of course, good drinks and some finger food, but its claim to fame is the panoply of vintage game consoles you can come play with. It'll take you right back to childhood!

Feel free to follow favy!

8bit cafe

8bit cafe is a nostalgic cafe in Shinjuku where you can enjoy some tasty drinks and finger foods while enjoying your favorite childhood games!
Do you remember playing Mario Kart or Tetris Game Boy?
Remember how you struggled to pass the last level with the big boss?
Well, how about reliving that with a bunch of your peers in a fun, light-hearted setting with a few drinks?
How many of these game consoles did you own? I remember when I finally got the Super Nintendo and my siblings and I would argue about who would go first at Super Mario World. Good times, good times.

You can get a lot of basic cocktails and beer starting from ¥600, but you can also get some 8bit original cocktails!
Why not try a Dr. Mario drink or a Princess Peach cocktail?
There are some finger foods, such as mix nuts or a cheese plate. You can also get something more consistent, such as pasta.
If you're craving something sweet, you can also try some of the homemade desserts!
Nintendo games and chocolate cake? I know my 8-year-old self would be ecstatic right now!
Playing Game Boy on a big screen also seems really exciting!
Which was your favourite character? It would be Princess Peach or Mario for me.

To re-live some of your childhood memories and have an amazing time with friends or new ones, you should definitely stop by 8bit Cafe. A night of competitive nostalgic gaming with a beer? Doesn't really get better than that, I think.
