The Room - Shibuya

Open since 1992, The Room has gathered fans for almost 3 decades due to the club's musical quality.
Located in a little basement in Shibuya, it has been produced by Shuya Okino - one half of the DJ unit called "Kyoto Jazz Massive". The Okino brothers are world known DJs and producers of Club Jazz and electronic Jazz.
The club also prides itself for being a spot of creative artists. On weekdays they hold top class Japanese musicians providing incredibly entertaining live sessions. The genres revolve around Club Jazz, Cross Over, House, Disco, Boogie, Funk, Soul, Latin. Plenty of options for you to to get down on the dance floor!
The atmosphere is cozy and super informal, and even though the space is small, it's plenty to hold up to 100 people.
Besides the regular alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, they also serve original cocktails, like the "Herb Garden” (picture below), with Bombay Saphire, Dita, Pernod, fresh grapefruit juice and rosemary for 800 yen.
If you're looking for really good music, meet up with local and international DJs, musicians, designers, photographers, architects, and dance till dawn, The Room is your place!
