Coffee Tengoku and the Perfect Pancake

The little coffee shop in Asakusa rose to world fame after Kantaro, the character from "Kantaro, the Sweet Tooth Salaryman" tasted their perfect pancake.

Feel free to follow favy!

Coffee Tengoku

Located just 5 minutes from the Sensōji Temple in Asakusa, Coffe Tengoku is a tiny coffee shop that rose to fame after being part of Netflix's "Kantaro, the Sweet Tooth Salaryman".
The show features a salaryman in a quest for the best sweets in town. And he found the most perfect pancakes at Tengoku.
The owner, Ms. Ueno, mixes the batter upon service, so you can always have fresh, homemade pancakes every time you go.
Customers swear by the heavenly hotcakes with black coffee and report feeling nostalgic after sitting in the shop's unique, retro atmosphere.

The cafe's most popular item is, obviously, the homemade pancakes. It includes melty butter and sweet, sticky syrup for 1,000 yen.
Simple and perfectly delicious.
Another fan favorite is, surprisingly, the hotdog! Perfect for a light meal or brunch!
Their hand-drip coffee is also a must.
But Tengoku's coffee cups are special. If you drink every last drop, you might see the characters 大吉 ("daikichi") on the bottom. This means you'll have good luck!
Not all of the cups have this harbinger of luck on them. Comparing cups is a great way to test your luck and pass time with friends!
