This small shop near Inogashira park is so lovely and the pastries that it offers are arguably some of the best in the neighbourhood. Connaisseurs know this place. You can go there for take-out or you can enjoy your sweets in-store, although there are only a few seats. Be aware that this cafe is only open from Friday to Sunday. If you're lucky to be in Kichijoji during that time, it's a must-go!
Coffee Hall Kugutsuso
This place is a little gem located on a basement floor so it's a bit easy to miss. Find it and you'll be rewarded with some addictively delicious Japanese-style curry and some awesome homemade sweets too. You might want to try the rare cheesecake set if you want something sweet and the curry if you want something savoury.
Linde is a German-style bakery where you can eat in. Their Brezel is super popular and cheap too. You'll find all kinds of tasty bread made of rye, oatmeal, sunflower seeds, poppy seeds, etc. They have some good kaiser sandwiches too. They have sweet breads and croissants that go so well with a good cup of coffee.
This lovely cafe specializing in chai tea is on the south side of the station. The homemade chai is really outstanding and goes so well with their muffins and French toasts. Their salads are really nice too!
