Clear Soy Sauce? Yes, Fundodai Created it!

Fundodai Goyo Inc., a company that has produced soy sauce for 150 years, has created the first clear shoyu.

Fundodai Goyo Inc. has been in the shoyu making business since 1869 and this year marks its 150th anniversary! To celebrate, the company has created a clear soy sauce.

Keisuke Yamamura, Fundodai's president, said that he wanted to create a product that could taste of soy sauce without changing the color of the ingredients, and that could be used as a seasoning in various dishes, such as Western food. From that thought, he made a transparent soy sauce that overturns the common sense that "the soy sauce is black."

By making full use of the original formula of Fundodai, the clear, brewed soy sauce was produced, maintaining the taste and rich aroma of a regular soy sauce. Sugoi!
