Hakata Ramen(博多ラーメン)originates from food stands in Hakata, a district of Fukuoka. The noodles are thin and straight, and the tonkotsu (pork bone) soup is silky and creamy.

At a 3-minute walk from Nishitetsu Yakuin Station(西鉄薬院駅), you can find Hacchan Ramen. The Hacchan Ramen, Yakkuin branch, is open from 9 PM to 2:30 AM.

The soup is really heavy and so creamy! The deep Tonkotsu taste goes well with the thin, flat noodles.

From Hakata Station(博多駅), Isso is just at a 6-minute walk. The owner trained as an apprentice at one of the very famous Hakata ramen shops called 'Ikkosha'(一幸舎).

The bubbly soup is the signature of the ramen at Hakata Isso Ramen. The broth has a super-rich flavor with the natural sweetness of the pork giving making it irresistible.

博龍軒 (Hakuryuken)

'Hakuryuken' is the name of the very first permanent shop to serve Hakata-style ramen in Hakata. The original shop is still open today (despite moving locations a couple of times). This means that you can still try the original Hakata ramen if you travel to Fukuoka! Despite 70+ years of operation, the taste is unchanged and still delicious. Don't miss the chance to try it if you can!

博多だるま(Hakata Daruma)

If you like chashu, this is the Hakata ramen for you! Located a 5-minute walk from Watanabedori Station(渡辺通駅), Hakata Daruma serves ramen topped with giant and delicious slices of beautiful, tender chashu.

Many people are willing to wait in line to get the ramen from this shop, so be prepared. It's worth the wait!

赤のれん(Akanoren)

Akanoren Ramen shop is located next to a department store called Tenjin Daimaru(天神大丸). Akanoren Ramen began in 1946 and has been run by three generations of the same family. The great tonkotsu with traditional taste has never changed.

The popular bowl is their standard Ramen, which is classic and always satisfying.
