There are many beautiful parks in Tokyo, but Yoyogi park is by the most popular. It's walking distance from Shibuya or Harajuku. It's a great place to unwind from the hustle and bustle in Tokyo. Why not sit by the pond and relax a little. On the way from Harajuku, you'll notice the lolita fashion, or the Rockabillies dancing together.
There are also a lot of festivals to enjoy in the park, from gay pride to Thai festivals.
You really need to visit this awesome park while you're in Tokyo.
It's improvised picnic time!

Wolfgang Puck Express Harajuku

Wolfgang Puck is a few minutes from Harajuku station, and about 5 minutes to Yoyogi Park. It is Californian style cuisine by Wolfgang Puck, the chef of the annual Academy Awards. This restaurant is the express version, so you can grab a seat at the resto or you can take your food to go. They serve pasta, pizzas, burgers, steak, etc. It's a great place for a family lunch.

Cookie Time

Cookie Time is originally from New Zealand, but has come wildly popular around the world because of their famous cookies made with natural ingredients.
You can grab a milkshake and some cookies to go and eat them at the park. It's a few minutes from Harajuku station and Yoyogi Park.
The cookie shakes are around ¥550 and a box of 5 large cookies is ¥1300. You'll have plenty of energy to run around in the park after that sugar rush!

Pablo Omotesando

This super popular cheese tart shop is popular for a reason! If you want to avoid the queue, I suggest not going on the weekend or on Holidays. These cheese tarts are incredibly delicious, even those who don't like cheesecakes will agree.
Why not grab a few mini tarts and come coffee and enjoy them in the park? The classic cheese tart, matcha, strawberry, sweet potato, peach, etc. Or maybe one of each! (Each tart is about ¥250).

Gindaco Takoyaki

Gindaco is right next to Harajuku station and a few minutes from Yoyogi park. You can take the takoyaki to go and enjoy it in the park. Takoyaki is famous Kansai region cuisine, its fried balls of dough with octopus inside and with a heavy sauce on top. This restaurant offers many delicious seasonal variations though. Have you tried it with cheese on top or perhaps shiso leaves on top? A set of 8 is about ¥550.

Sweet Box

You're coming from Harajuku station, Harajuku is practically synonymous with lolita fashion and crêpes. That only means one thing, you have to try the delicious crepes. If you want to try lolita fashion, that's on you.
There are so many flavours to pick from, from sweet to savoury, you can even have a cheesecake INSIDE YOUR PANCAKE! How wild is that. There is of course matcha flavour since you're in Japan, why not give it a go!
