Californian Poke... in Tokyo!
Poke is a Hawaiian dish that in recent years has been spreading rapidly across the United States and other countries. California is one of the places where poke has become wildly popular, so much so that a new style of poke was born there. The owner of Californian Poke lived in Los Angeles, California for many years, and decided she wanted to introduce real, California-style poke to Tokyo by opening this restaurant. Whether you're already a fan, or you've never experienced the phenomenon that is poke, add a stop at 'Californian Poke' to your itinerary!
Ordering California Style
As opposed to Hawaiian style poke, where the fish is already mixed with the sauces and seasonings, California-style poke is fully customizable, allowing the customer to choose each ingredient that goes into the bowl.
Step 1. Choose Your Base
Californian Poke offers a choice of white rice, 5-grain rice, nacho chips, or salad as a base for the poke. The white rice is lightly seasoned with vinegar, just like sushi rice. For an extra charge, there's also a cauliflower rice option, which is great for those who want the feeling of eating rice without the carbs.
Step 2. Choose Your Fish
Choose which types of fresh, Japanese seafood you'd like in your poke. There's albacore tuna (bintoro), tuna (maguro), yellow tail (hamachi), salmon, scallop, squid, shrimp, and spicy tuna.
The fish is tossed in a marinade
Step 3. Choose Your Toppings
Select 5 toppings from among the selection of 14 available. You can customize your poke bowl to be exactly the way you want it!
Step 4. Choose Your Sauce
Californian Poke offers three different sauces, each with four spice levels (zero to very spicy). There's a soy sauce-based original sauce, a garlic sauce, and a sesame sauce. In addition, there's a also a korean-inspired gochujang sauce that is available only at level 2 spice.
Poke Menu Items

'Bihada' (Beautiful Skin) Poke Bowl
