Bubble tea frenzy continues in Japan

In a sure sign that the bubble tea frenzy that has swept over Japan in the past couple of months is far from over, a bubble tea pop-up theme park called 'Tokyo Tapioca Land' will see the day this summer in Harajuku.
Bubble tea, originally from neighbouring Taiwan, has been present for years in Japan, but the recent surge in popularity of the photogenic drink has led to the multiplication of bubble tea cafes and parlours which still can't keep up with the demand judging by the long lines in front of so many of them

Smack in the middle of a district best known for its eccentric fashion and kawaii culture, this new bubble tea theme park is bound to attract hoards of young women and school-age girls that have been the driving force behind the sudden and explosive rise of the beverage.
Tokyo Tapioca land will offer all kinds of bubble teas and tapioca-based foods from various popular shops in Japan. The concept is to create a 'dreamland' for visitors to explore. They'll be 10 photo booths where you can snap a shot of yourself with your tapioca drink, and they'll be several other attractions too.
