Healthy Eating in Tokyo: 5 Soup Restaurants you must try!

Soup is always a good option all year around. It's healthy, you get lots of nutrients from vegetables, it's delicious...etc. There are several places in Tokyo where you can have a delicious soup experience, so get ready!

Soup-ya (すうぷ屋)

This is the first Soup restaurant opened in Japan! Established in 1985, they serve soup that you eat with lots of ingredients. If you want to eat something light and healthy to heal your body from heat, you should try their cold veggie soup! Located in MYLOAD building, just a minute walk from JR Shinjuku station, south exit.

If you are in Japan, don't you want to try miso soup? Have you ever wondered if there is any restaurant or cafes that specializes in miso soup? This place does! Directly connected underground to Tokyo station, this place offers one of the Japanese soul food.

Soup Stock Tokyo

This is probably one of the famous soup stores in Japan. This is a chain store so you may find it everywhere. Their soup is something that you eat rather than drink, and they have lots of healthy options to choose from. This branch is in Hiroo, and it is one of the classy areas in Tokyo. Thus the exterior of this store is very classy compared to other branches. Just a few minute walk from Hiroo station.

Mr. FARMER

This place offers soup made from fresh local vegetables! They also have open sandwiches, salad and cold pressed juice that you can order with! They also provide vegan menu as well as menu for athlete, which is such a perfect place to grab a healthy lunch! Very popular among healthy eaters. Just a 4 minute walk from Omotesando station. This place is also a chain store, so you can find it in Roppongi, Shinjuku and Komazawa.

Hanare (日本橋だし場 はなれ)

This store specializes in bonito, and as you might have imagined, they serve bonito based soup! They offer fusion of traditional and new soup experience here. Since it is popular, it may be crowded depending on the time you go. Just a 3 minute walk from Nihonbashi station. You should also try other dishes like rice and desserts!
