Beautiful, Local, and Delicious: Kyoto's 2-Star 'Sojiki Nagahigashi'
'Sojiki Nagahigashi' is a 2 Michelin star kaiseki restaurant in Kyoto that serves incredible food which utilizes fresh local ingredients that the chef gathers each day. Guests lucky enough to dine here can experience kaiseki cooking at its finest while watching the chef from a seat at the counter.
The atmosphere here is a bit different than a more traditional, private room kaiseki experience, but that is actually preferred by many customers. It's interesting to be able to watch the chef as he works and receive explanations of each dish as he serves it to you. This is truly a special restaurant that should be high on everyone's list!
For a Michelin 2-star restaurant, the courses are quite reasonable at ¥6,000 for lunch and ¥15,000 for dinner.
