The Most Unique Omurice in Tokyo?

Cafe Tint's signature item is the 'Order-Made Omurice,' which gives customers full control over the way their omurice will be prepared.

Upon ordering, customers can choose between 9 omelet shapes and colors, 8 types of rice, 8 types of oil used to fry the omelet, and 24 kinds of sauce to finish the dish off.
Calculating all the possible combinations, we get a total of 13,824 different omurices that could potentially be created! That's a staggering amount of possibilities!

This time, we chose:
-a pink egg
-in the shape of a rose
-with mushroom butter rice
-and an avocado cheese sauce.

Whew! That was a lot of big decisions. 15 minutes later, the most beautiful omurice of our lives was brought to the table!

Order-Made Omurice (¥1,250) + Pink coloring in the egg (¥100)
The pink rose in the middle of the rice is the omelet, which has somehow been delicately shaped to look like a rose (the chef said that it's a technique they developed themselves). That is surrounded by basil leaves and white pieces of cheese, cut into a floral pattern. It's too beautiful to destroy! Yet the yummy smell of the cheesy avocado sauce is too much to resist.

The texture of the egg is wonderfully soft and satisfying to eat. It is complemented by the fragrant and delicious avocado cheese sauce and scrumptious mushroom butter rice hiding underneath. Apparently, the chef makes all of the 24 sauces by hand! It's clear that a lot of effort goes into the flavor of the omurice, not just the appearance. There are so many other combinations that we'd love to come back to try!

Cafe Tint is located in Tokyo's hip neighborhood of Shimokitazawa. It's a cool place to hang out anyway, so is definitely worth a trip to Cafe Tint to check out the coolest omurice in Tokyo!
