Cantonese delicacies

ryutenmon
The current chef at Ryutenmon has 30 years experience of working at various high-end hotel restaurants in Hong Kong and in Japan.

These entrees made from Iberico pork are both exquisite in taste and in their presentation. The skin is dried once before being grilled, which gives the meat its outstanding taste.

This dish is made from steamed ingredients placed in a fragrant fish-based broth.
ryutenmon_food2
This is made from beef tongues and daikon radish boiled together in a rich dashi soup stock. The meat is really tender and everything is infused with deep-tasting savoury umami.

As part of a course, you get served a dessert as the last plate that is almost too beautiful to eat. These little dumplings pictured above are made with a mix of custard cream and rice flour, and the pudding is mango-based.

In closing...

Ryutenmon is truly an exceptional restaurant of Chinese cuisine in Tokyo. Because of the chef's combined experiences of working in Japan and in Hong Kong, the dishes are both based on authentic Cantonese cuisine yet very innovative at the same time.

Except to pay around ¥4,000 to ¥5,000 for lunch and ¥10,000 to ¥15,000 for dinner.
