5 best lunch options in Omotesando for less than ¥1,500

Here are some of the best restaurants in Omotesando offering lunch options that won't break the bank. We've included cuisines of a kind so hopefully, you can find something that you like.

Feel free to follow favy!

Torimikura 青山 鶏味座 本店

Torimikura is the place to have the ultimate oyakodon (a kind of omelette with chunks of chicken topped on rice).

Oyakodon is not well-know outside of Japan, but many Japanese consider it to be one of the best comfort foods there is, so you have to give it a try if you haven't already.

The oyakodon at Torimikura is made with top quality chicken and eggs, and there is a deep savoriness to the omelette because they add their own original blend of fish dashi (stock).

The oyakodon is ¥1,380.

Napule ナプレ 南青山本店

Tokyo has become a hot spot for excellent Neapolitan-style pizzas. There are several restaurants that have amassed rave reviews from pizza aficionados, and Napule is one of them. Their pizza is cooked the traditional Italian way, in a large firewood oven. You won't get enough of the thick, springy crust!

Also worth noting is that the interior of this restaurant is really pleasant because of the retro southern Italian design and the large windows that allow plenty of natural light to pour into the restaurant.

They have a ¥1,400 lunch set that includes a pizza, a salad and a coffee.

Ryu-no Ko 龍の子

Ryu-no Ko has some pretty awesome chuka (Japanese-style Chinese food). Particularly worth the try is their signature mabo dofu. Most people order that for lunch actually. It has a really exquisite combination of spices and herbs that sets it apart from the ones you can have elsewhere. Also, for ramen fans, their tantanmen (ramen with some minced meat and chili pepper oil) shouldn't disappoint.

The mabo dofu is ¥1,200 for a half portion, which is pretty big, and ¥1,800 for a full portion. It doesn't come with rice so you might want to add some as a side dish for ¥200. The tantanmen is ¥1,300.

Aoyama Kawakami An 青山 川上庵

Kawakami-An is a very beautiful and modern Japanese restaurant. It has a very soothing and relaxing interior. Judging by the appearance, you would imagine it to be quite expensive, but in fact, it is quite reasonable! They have lunch courses from ¥1,300.

The specialty there is soba noodles that you can have either as dipping noodles or in a soup. The sets come with other delectable side dishes such as tempura.

The Great Burger

This burger joint is often hailed as one of the best in Tokyo. As their name suggests, their burgers are indeed really great with their thick beef patties and sweet springy buns. If you want to give this place a try, you might have to wait in line if you go during the peak lunch hour.

Also, for sweets lovers, take note that they have some awesome super fluffy Japanese-style pancakes!

The burgers start at ¥950 and the pancakes are ¥400 to ¥700.
