Taco rice is a popular Okinawan dish. It's taco-flavored ground beef over rice, with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and salsa. It's kind of Tex-Mex meets Japanese cuisine. So I guess you can call it a fusion American and Japanese cuisine. It's a must-try in Okinawa!!
Their taco rice is about ¥700, they have loads of variation to try; such as "omurice" (an omolette over rice) + taco rice = omutaco! Voilà! It's delish!
Blue Seal Ice Cream
Blue Seal Ice Cream is a brand that was born in America and that got very successful in Okinawa. It started in 1948 and is a hit ever since! They have tons of flavour to choose from aside from the classic vanilla, strawberry and chocolate; How about Tiramisu, Royal Milk Tea, or Blue Wave Sherbet? Don't blame us if you get hooked though!
Kamezen is an Okinawan restaurant, so if you haven't tried Okinawan cuisine yet, now is the time!!! They specialise in ramen and soba, and they're authentic and good! It has a retro and eclectic vibe which makes it very interesting to visit. Enjoy your soba noodles in this time slip with a cold local beer!

The theme of the resto is inspired by the Bollywood movie industry, all the while serving delicious Indian curry. You should try their cheese nan and the butter chicken, they're simply scrumptious!
