Osaka is well known for its food culture, and they do have really good food there. Since summer is approaching, don't you feel like eating something cold and sweet? So we made a list of places where you can try cool desserts in Osaka, including modern ice cream to authentic desserts!

Poppin Sweetie's

Located close to Shinsaibashi station, this place serves very instagenic gelato in a rose shape! You can choose 3 flavors for just ¥400. It makes you want to take photos of this artsy gelato!

Kiyasu Souhonpo(喜八洲総本舗)

One of the Osaka's famous desserts is mitarashi-dango (mochi covered with sweet soy sauce syrup covered), and you can choose how well you want your dango to be grilled.

Freshly grilled mochi are the softest and the best thing you'll ever taste on Earth, so make sure to try it. It is a very popular souvenirs among Japanese people, too. Just a 2 minute walk from Jusou station.

Shiroichi (白一)

Have you seen this long soft serve before!? It's pointing straight up as if it is going against the gravity. Available from ¥420~680. Just a 4 minute walk from Yotsubashi station.

Ice Dog (元祖アイスドッグ)

Have you ever tried sandwiching ice cream in a hot dog bun? This place serves a magical Ice Dog for just ¥350! All you need is a deep fried bun with cold, rich ice cream. It is definitely worth a try.
Around a 5 minute walk from Shinsaibashi station.

Ze-roku (ゼー六)

Around a 3 minute walk from Sakaisuji Honmachi station, No.1 or No.13 exit, this place serves Japanese ice cream called "ice monaka". Monaka is a Japanese sweets with red bean fillings sandwiched with soft mochi wafer, and ice monaka is a monaka with ice cream instead of red bean fillings.

This place's ice monaka has been beloved by many Japanese people. If you are looking for an authentic, traditional Japanese dessert experience, you should definitely stop by. Their ice monaka is available from ¥130 per piece.
