Yomenya Goemon

Yomenya Goemon became famous for its unique eating style, eating pasta using chopsticks. Established in Shibuya in 1976, they have been pursuing the taste that Japanese people would love. They cook their pasta with their original huge pot, and their pasta is served on an original Goemon Arita-yaki plate!
Ingredients such as olive oil, tomato sauce and spaghetti itself that they use are all directly imported from pasta's birthplace, Italy, but their pasta is recognized as Japanese cuisine. That's what Yomenya Goemon is all about!

Menu

They have a variety of spaghetti menu, from Japanese style spaghetti, which uses soy sauce, fish, natto, sea urchin etc as ingredients, to Western style spaghetti that uses avocado, octopus, shrimp, mozzarella cheese, etc.
This one is pesto avocado and shrimp pasta. It's really nice in the summer.
They also offer seasonal menu!
During the summer, they offer this soy sauce, garlic butter pasta which is great for this hot weather!
You can also have cold Margherita pasta which is perfect for the summer. They have other seasonal summer dishes such as:

-Cold Spaghetti with Shabu-shabu Pork (boiled pork), grated radish and spice vegetables.
-Chili Tomato Sauce Spaghetti with "gyutan" (beef tongue) and eggplant.
-Mentaiko Cream spaghetti with salmon, shrimp and mozzarella.

Ready for a new pasta experience at Yomenya Goemon in Japan?

They opened their new branches in other East Asia/ Southeast Asia countries, but other than that they only have stores in Japan. Since pasta is popular regardless of one's nationality, for people who have never tried Japanese food, it could be a great way to open a new door! Enjoy the Japanese style pasta experience!
