CoCo ICHIBANYA: The Biggest And Most Famous Japanese Curry Chain

When you are in Japan, you need to try Japanese curry. It is very different from Indian or Thai curry. It is a plate of rice covered with rich and creamy curry sauce that has a variety of ingredients. It tastes less spicy but amazingly savory. CoCo Ichibanya (CoCo壱番屋/CoCo Ichi) is the best place to try Japanese curry as they are the biggest and popular chain where you can get delicious and cheap curry!

Feel free to follow favy!

Ever since they established the first store in 1978, they have provided delicious curry -a Japanese comfort food, to a number of customers while steadily spreading the stores all over the country. They are well known for the quick, cheap and tasty Japanese curry.

They offer the extensive curry menu such as beef curry, seafood curry, vegetable curry, katsu curry (deep fried pork), and more! You might have difficulty in choosing. All curry menu are reasonably priced from 500 to 1000 yen!
Besides the variety of menu, you can also build your own curry by selecting the spiciness (level 1-10) and toppings including various kinds of vegetables, seafood, meat. One of the most popular menu is pork katsu curry (698 yen) that has crunchy pork cutlet which goes well with savory and creamy curry sauce.
I like to order spicy curry like level 4 (4 is actually very spicy) with soft boiled egg topping...so good!
They also have healthier options with a lot of veggies, and some seasonal menu. You could go everyday and eat different menu! They have multilingual menu at stores and also on the website that would helps you to order.

Go find CoCo Ichibanya and try Japanese curry!

They have over a thousand of stores in Japan, it means people love Japanese curry and CoCo Ichibanya. Don't miss CoCo Ichibanya while you are in Japan. You will be a fan of their tasty Japanese curry!
I love traveling and eating. My favorites are everything matcha and cheesecakes.
