Chocolate and Croissant Heaven: Try St. Marc Cafe's Exclusive Choco Cro in Japan!

Choco cro, a croissant with chocolate inside, is St. Marc Cafe's signature menu! It is very popular among people in different parts of Asia, but why is it so popular? Let's find out together!

Their choco cro was created at their 2nd store in Shibuya. Ever since then they have been providing their choco cro as well as other dessert menu and coffee to customers. They have around 400 stores just in Japan! Recently they have opened their new branches in Southeast Asia, including countries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Philippines! Choco cro fever seems to never abate!

Menu

As I mentioned, their most popular menu is choco cro. Their croissant is super crispy and has well-balanced sweet taste and delicious aroma. Unlike other chocolate croissant that you get in bakery or supermarket, St. Marc uses huge chunk of chocolate bars, which melt as being baked, but it remains a slight crunchy texture.
As you bite into choco cro, sweet croissant and relatively bitter chocolate blends in your mouth, and you can feel your tastebuds delighted with joy.
Along with their famous choco cro, they offer freshly baked breads, parfait, deni-bran (they call it Fuji overseas) and zenzai (Japanese dessert with mochi and red bean etc)!
Aside from their crispiness of choco cro, one of the other reasons why their choco cro is so popular is due to their limited edition menu that they offer seasonally. Now they are offering Lemon-cheese choco cro, that contains lemon flavored cream cheese and a bitter chocolate inside. Its balanced sweetness and sourness makes perfect snack for summer!
They also have seasonal drinks too - this time they are introducing new flavors to their fruit smoothies! Flavors are melon (cantaloupe), golden kiwi and peach.

Now it's time to try their delicious choco cro!

Before I let you walk in to St. Marc Cafe near you, I just want to add one thing: you can eat at the cafe, but you can also take out their choco cro too! It will be a great breakfast or snack to make your day a little more special.

Lastly, unfortunately they do not have English website, but you can find more information about St. Marc Cafe in the link below! If you want to find out store locations, click "店舗情報".
