3 Reasons To Visit KURA Sushi In Japan!

Conveyor belt sushi 回転寿司 (revolving sushi) is part of Japan's modern food culture and is a definite must-try. One of the most famous conveyor belt sushi chains in Japan is Kura Sushi (pronounced "kurazushi" in Japanse). Let's see why it is so famous!

Feel free to follow favy!

Kura Sushi

Kura Sushi has almost 400 restaurants in Japan, and they are beloved by Japanese people for their price of sushi that they offer - there are many menu items that are just ¥100! Recently, they have been expanding their business and offering sushi that costs above ¥100 per plate as well. They do not use any additives and they are really strict about hygiene and sanitation too, so you can enjoy safe and delicious Kura sushi fish.

Menu

Aside from their standard sushi menu, they have been introducing a variety of meat sushi menu, including beef shabu-shabu with ponzu, beef ribs and Prosciutto. Their side dish menu is quite huge too - from spicy ramen to curry, from shaved ice (kakigori) to cheesecake and from Japanese sake to iced coffee. You'll probably find whatever you're looking for! Warning: each store offers a different menu, so you might find some items unique to one branch.

1. Easy to Order!

Usually you can get all the sushi you want from sushi the conveyor belt, but sometimes you might want to order additional tuna or something that is on their menu but not being delivered.
When it comes to ordering these, some people might find it intimidating to talk to someone especially when you are in a country where you have no idea how to speak their language. However, at Kura Sushi you can order sushi anytime you want using a tablet! Their tablet also lets you know when the sushi that you ordered is arriving.

2. Sendo-kun keeps sushi fresh!

Usually conveyor belt sushi restaurants serve their sushi without any protection on top, but
Kura Sushi thought that it is not very hygienic, so they invented their new product, "Sendo-kun" to keep their sushi fresh and for customers' safety! This is a transparent plastic cover that is put on top of sushi so even air cannot come in contact with the dishes. As you slightly pull up the edge of the plate, Sendo-kun will open and you can get your sushi. This way, you don't have to worry about sushi being touched by strangers and getting a cold from viruses in the air. You can enjoy their sushi without worrying about germs.

3. Exciting capsule toys "Bikkura Pon!"

What children love about these conveyor belt sushi is that you get to play with a game for every 5 plates. After sliding 5 plates into a "plate drop pocket", the game starts automatically.
If you get "atari" or win, you will get a capsule toy that contains their original characters, Muten-maru's keychains!
