Chocolate-Watermelon Dango!? Try Yagumo Dango's Summer Mochi Dessert!

Everyone know what watermelon and chocolate is, and most people know what mochi or dango is, but what about chocolate-watermelon dango? Let's figure out what it is!

Chocolate-Watermelon Dango

This dessert has been really popular among Japanese people, and it is so popular that it usually sell out a second after they become available online. Yagumo Dango has been trying to find a way to spark interest in wagashi especially among young people, and for people to enjoy wagashi during summer time, and they came up with this new flavor three years ago, called Choco-manto suika flavor (Chocolate and watermelon flavor)!
It looks watermelon on the outside and once you bite into it you'll immediately be exposed with bright red flesh with sesames that resembles watermelon seeds. What makes it even appealing is that the red part is actually made of watermelon juice! So it not only looks like watermelon, but it actually taste like watermelon too. Red watermelon dango is super chewy, and coated with green colored chocolate that is really crunchy. The pattern on watermelon's skin is drawn by chefs one by one, which they aim to express uniqueness and chef's thoughtful feelings.
