Fujiya Restaurant is a restaurant chain that serves delicious food and desserts! Fujiya Restaurant has been beloved by Japanese people for more than 100 years, but why are they so popular? Let's figure it out together!

Feel free to follow favy!

Fujiya Restaurant

Their first pastries store was established in 1910 (it's been more than 100 years now!), which eventually became Fujiya Restaurant that a lot of Japanese people are familiar with. They have 57 stores in Japan, and they offer wide range of dishes and desserts.
You might have seen their character's package of snacks or candies at a supermarket, and their candy called Milky is really popular among Japanese people for its creamy and soft milk taste. For those of you who have already had a chance to try Fujiya's candies, you all already know how good they are, but yes, Fujiya Restauranat offers exquisite dishes and desserts at a very reasonable price! Let's check out their menu.

Menu

They have a variety of menu: pasta, pizza, noodle, don (rice bowls), gratin, curry, hamburger steak, salad, pancakes, cakes, parfait, Japanese dessert, and more!
If you are feeling really hungry and craving for something savory and fulfilling, try their hamburger steak because it is a must-try! They offer this delicious cheese-in-hamburg at just ¥990 (tax not included), which is super reasonable! They also have steaks as well as stew, so make sure to check that out too!
Their cob salad is served in a satisfying portion, and yet it only costs ¥920. With eggs, shrimps, avocado, broccoli and tomatoes, it is a great way to refresh yourself! They also have unique salads like chicken, apple & walnut salad and steamed chicken, hijiki, & 7 different grains salad for around ¥800-900.
They also have lots of pasta to choose from! The one shown above has a raw egg yolk topping that adds a lot of richness to the plate.
If you want salad and pasta together, try their pasta combo! They have three options to choose from: crab sauce spaghetti and seafood gratin combo; chicken and mushrooms Aglio Olio e Peperoncino and lasagna, mentaiko cream spaghetti and vegetable curry doria (or rice casserole). They're all for ¥1,190! So reasonable!

For all meals, you can add ice cream set for just extra ¥250, rice or bread for ¥120-270, drink bar (all-you-can-drink) set for ¥230!
They also have a daily menu that changes everyday! The one in the photo is fried chicken (karaage).
They also have summer menu that is so delicious! Their "cold spicy ramen style-mabo eggplant udon" is so tasty that you'd definitely want to come back to it again. There's a menu item that was popular in 1980s to 1990s that is called Hokkaido beef's sizzling yakiniku. Just the name sounds amazing, but the taste is beyond perfect, so it's a must-try summer menu.
Their dessert menu are also fascinating. They offer cakes, pancakes, and parfaits, but they also have summer only dessert: kakigori (shaved ice)! For summer they came up with three different flavors: tiramisu and chocolate, lemon, and strawberry. Their summer menu is available until July 13th, 2017, so make sure to hurry! However, they will constantly be updating their seasonal menu, and that's one of the reasons why you should visit Fujiya Restaurant!
Some Fujiya Restaurants offer all-you-can-eat cake! Just ¥1,680 for an adult and ¥1,180 for children for an hour, it comes with drink (coffee, ice tea, juice and coke) and you can eat ever so many! Their strawberry shortcake is beloved by all ages, so you should definitely check that out!
If you want to have more than just cakes, you should go for "sweets viking", literally meaning all-you-can-eat dessert! You can choose any dessert you want to eat such as parfait, and it's ¥1,880 for adults and 1,380 for children for an hour! If you love desserts, you should definitely give it a try.
