Vegetarian Eating in Shibuya, Tokyo

Being a vegetarian in Tokyo isn't simple. Meat dishes are very popular and fish broth is widely used in Japanese cuisine. You can find a few vegetarian plates at almost any restaurant, but the choices tend to be quite limited. Vegetarian restaurants are starting to pop up all over Tokyo. Let's explore vegetarian cuisine in Shibuya!

Milan Nataraj

It is very well located in the heart of Shibuya. You can try any curry as they are all vegetarian. It also offers a cheaply-priced lunch buffet. All the more reasons to enjoy this lovely little restaurant.

Tudore Tranquility

If you're looking more towards upscale gastronomic dining, this is the place. This restaurant offers healthy Japanese vegetarian food with a Caribbean twist. This place is cozy, yet has a luxurious atmosphere.The dishes offer different flavors with a beautiful presentation.

Nagi Shokudo

Nice little restaurant in Shibuya, but not the easiest to find. You can have a set meal menu for lunch for around ¥1,000. The atmosphere is laid-back and relaxed, it's a good place to unwind a little during your lunch break.

Mominoki House

Mominoki House serves beautiful vegan dishes, such as the vegan sushi pictured above. This restaurant has amazing food, great service, and is reasonably priced too! You should try the vegetarian "karaage" (fried chicken), in this case mock chicken.
Lunch is between 1,000-1,500 yen, and the dinner course is 4,000 yen!

Brown Rice Cafe

If you want to up your nutritional uptake all the while enjoying delicious Japanese home-made cooking, this is definitely the place to go. A lot like their organic skin care, they serve simple and natural ingredients. For example, steamed vegetables with miso soup, brown rice, etc. Everything is perfectly balanced and good for you.

Restaurant 8ablish serves upscale vegan Italian-inspired cuisine. The presentation is beautiful, you'll be impressed by how flavorful the food is! The brochette is particularly good and even meat-lovers will feel more than satisfied! The desserts area must-try as well!

ORGANIC TABLE BY LAPAZ

Close to Gaimmae station, this restaurant used to function as a furniture and art store, but now sells organic vegan food. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming and the staff is really friendly.
Junk-food vegetarians, rejoice! The avocado burger is delicious! Lunch sets are around ¥1,000.

Re:Nature is an organic cafe that is actually only open on the weekend! Everything is fresh and delicious. If you're craving flavorful and healthy cuisine, you should give this place a go! It's a nice little cafe with friendly service, but not the type of place to go to if you're in a hurry.

If you're looking for delicious vegetarian restaurants in Shibuya, you should try the places mentioned above. You'll find everything from Western cuisine to Japanese cuisine. Even if you're vegetarian, you'll be able to satisfy your cravings!
