Tokyo Summerland: The Exciting Outdoor Water Park, Only in Summer!

Go to a water park to make the most of Tokyo's hot summer! There are some exciting outdoor water parks in Tokyo that open only during the summertime. Tokyo Summerland is one of the best and most popular water parks where you can enjoy a variety of pools and slides.

Tokyo Summerland and how to get there

Tokyo Summerland is one of the biggest and the most famous water parks located in the eastern Tokyo. As they have various pools and slides, visitors can enjoy playing all day. The inside water park called Adventure Dome opens throughout the year while outdoor area, Adventure Lagoon opens only during summer from July 1st to October 30th.



Address: 600, Kamiyotsugi, Akiruno-shi, Tokyo

There are two ways to go there by public transportations.
 1. Take a bus (or taxi) bound for Tokyo Summerland from Akigawa Station (approximately 10mins)
 2. Take a bus bound for Tokyo Summerland on the north exit of JR Hachioji Station (approximately 30mins)

Ticket fee

Summer time prices (7/1-10-1)
 Adults (Ages 13-60) - 3500 yen
 Children (Ages 7-12) - 2500 yen
 Ages 2-6 or 61 and over - 1800 yen

Regular prices
 Adults (Ages 13-60) - 2000 yen
 Children (Ages 7-12) - 1000 yen
 Ages 2-6 or 61 and over - 1000 yen

<Ticket fee includes both indoor and outdoor water parks (only in summer)>

Parking fee - 1500 yen for a day

Pools and slides

There are many exciting pools and slides that everyone from young to old can enjoy.

The long lazy river.

The slide called Tower Rock is as high as 20m.

Tokyo Summerland's signature and scary slide called DEKASLA. You need a ticket (500 yen) for a ride.

They have some kids areas too. Little kids can play safely.

There are similar attractions including slides inside as well in case it's rainy or cold outside.

Food

They have some restaurants and food tracks where you can eat while taking a rest. Kakigori (Japanese-style shaved ice) is must-buy.
You can eat ramen too. Other dishes like soba noodles and hot dogs are available.
