This Summer, Enjoy Craft Beer on a Terrace in Tokyo!

Is there anything better really than having a delicious crisp beer outside with your friends on a scorching hot Tokyo summer day? These craft market restaurants offer delicious beer that you can enjoy on their terrace. Here's our pick!

T.Y. Harbor is about a 15 minute walk from Shinagawa station. The atmosphere for this restaurant is very nice, as they have a terrace right by the water. The restaurant is quite big, and so are the portions. It's a good place to go with friends or with a date.
They have 6 craft beers to pick from, and 2 more monthly flavors. If you like citrusy beers in the summer, we suggest the Pale Ale and the Wheat Ale. You can choose from 4 different sizes, you can also have a pitcher.


Spring Valley Brewery is located in fashionable Daikanyama, around 5 minutes from the station. It is a really nice neighborhood to walk around in during the day, and this brewery is a great place to take a break anytime of the day. There is a nice terrace to sit on outside, but you might want to make a reservation beforehand as this restaurant fills up quickly.
Spring Valley Brewery makes their beer on location and offers a lot of different and interesting beers depending on your taste palette. You can try the beer flight, which is a fun way to try out many beers. You can also get a food pairing to go with it. The Daydream is a very interesting beer with a Japanese twist, yuzu and Japanese pepper taste.

About 1 minute from Kichijoji station, this restaurant has a beautiful terrace on the 7th floor. But please keep in mind that Kichijoji is a very popular neighborhood and that it gets quite crowded on the weekends, so you might want to make a reservation ahead.
This restaurant specializes in pizza and beer, can you spell happiness? They have around 8 types of beers to choose from, so in reality you can choose from 30 different beers. How about a tasting set before committing?

Craft Beer Market

This resto is walking distance from the station, and is on the first floor. It's a fun and unpretentious place to hang out. It's easy to start a conversation with your neighbors, as this place is lively.
They have around 30 beers to choose from and you can get either a glass or a pint. They have an interesting selection of beer, international beers and Japanese beers. Why not try the sakura beer?

WIZ Craft Beer and Food

This restaurant has great beer, great food, and a great atmosphere. There's a patio to enjoy some sunshine whil enjoying their craft beer. The resto is a few minutes from Shin-Ochanomizu station.
