For an Unforgettable Experience, Try The Best Cafes in Sapporo, Hokkaido


When you think of Hokkaido, you probably think of heavy snow, beautiful sceneries, and deliciously fresh fish! So it can be quite surprising to find out there are such awesome cafes to try as well. These cafes are not only delicious, but the atmosphere makes you feel like you stepped into a wonderful parallel universe.

Morihico Cafe

This incredibly cute cafe makes you feel like you stepped into a dream. This place is so charming and welcoming that you'll probably never want to leave.
It is a few minutes from Maruyamakoen station on the Tozai line, and also close to the Maruyama park. It's a perfect date activity, after having coffee in this wonderful cafe, you can a stroll in the park.
The atmosphere feels rustique as it is a wooden interior and the exterior is covered in beautiful green leaves. And the drip coffee is delicious. It feels like a warm hug in a beautifully cozy setting. The sweets are great too. You should try the raspberry and caramel tart.


Near Sapporo station, this cafe is a great place to stop by for dessert and art. The building is unusual and very interesting, there is a cafe on the second floor, a gallery on the 5th, a concert hall on the 6th.
This cafe is famous for their desserts, and cookies you can get as souvenirs. The atmosphere is simple, yet refined. The decoration is mainly white, with a beautiful view. The green tea cake is out of this world!

Kinotoya Odori Koen

This restaurant is right by Odori station on the Namboku, Toho, and Tozai Line. It is also right by the Odori park, so you can enjoy a nice stroll after a good coffee and some cake.
If you visit this lovely cafe, you absolutely need to try their milk ice cream and/or their famous baked cheese tarts. They're both wonderful and will definitely hit that sweet spot!
If you're looking for something savoury, their pretzel croissant are great!!

Noymond Organic Cafe Honten

Close to Susukino station, Tanukikoji station, and Hosuisusukino station, this beautiful cafe has a very nice atmosphere. You'll feel comfortable with a small group of friends, or one on one with a date.
This restaurant uses fresh organic ingredients to make unforgettable dishes. Whether for breakfast or a snack, their sweets are awesome. We suggest the pancakes or the french toast. You won't be disappointed!

Paul Sapporo Stellar Place

Paul is located across from the Sapporo station and although it is a chain, it offers a refined atmosphere.
If you miss delicious French baguette and croissants, this is the place to go. Their bread is spot-on and so are their sweets. You should try their coffee and croissant set, it really hits the spot!
