Relive Your Childhood! Eat At This Elementary School Restaurant: Rokunen Yonkumi Izakaya

Ever wondered what eating at a Japanese elementary school was like? Well, here's your chance! Rokunen Yonkumi is a elementary school themed restaurant in downtown Shibuya that caters for diners looking for a little bit of nostalgia. The whole restaurant is set-up like a school and has a number of themed rooms and courses to match. High school reunion time?

Feel free to follow favy!

Going back to school!

Rokunen Yonkumi is definitely going to bring back those nostalgic school day feels. Whether or not you've experienced Japanese elementary school you'll be pleasantly surprised by this place! Located in Shibuya about a 5 minute walk from JR Shibuya station it's a popular place for Japanese adults to reminisce those old school days.
The restaurant essentially mimics an actually school and classrooms with lots of props and similar designs to what you see in a real school - of course with a little touch of magic! There's even Japanese school bags you can try on too.

Inside you'll find a number of different rooms, some a little more wackier than others...
Even the hallways look the same as any Japanese elementary school!
Why they have a planetarium room I don't know, but who doesn't love planetariums?!
This is there VIP room. Old school couches and sofa... Kinda reminds me of a principal's office.
This is pretty cool though, a special room on the 33rd floor with a beautiful night view!
There's a few other smaller rooms with different themes that all offer a fun kinda atmosphere for dinner, drinks, a group event, or birthdays!
One of the fun things on their menu is this 2 hour all-you-can-eat-and-drink "School Trip Course" available to the first 10 groups from Mon-Thurs. It costs 3500 yen per person. There's 120 items to choose from the menu which adds immense value to this deal. Why not get a group together?
Rokunen Yonkumi has a number of courses to choose from but one of my favourite is the Japanese school classroom lunch. It's themed like an actual Japanese school lunch with all the trimmings!
If your planning a girls night they even have a Girls Course! It has 9 dishes with 3 hours worth of all-you-can-drink cocktails and other drinks! Only 3500 yen. Talk about value!

Come experience Japanese elementary school on your next night out!
