Want Great Korean Food in Tokyo? Head to Ajiya in Ogikubo!

Miya is a Korean Restaurant in Ogikubo within short walking distance from Ogikubo station. Head here for lunch or dinner! Then if you're looking for something to do in the hot summer months head to the multi story mall above Ogikubo station and cool down while you window shop on the air con!

Warm and friendly staff

Ajiya is owned by a lovely Korean women who loves to chat with her guests, and the other staff follow here lead. I had such a lovely experience when I had lunch here a few weeks ago! It's less than a 5 minute walk from the north exit of Ogikubo station down a quiet street.
The lunch fare here is reasonable and won't burn a hole in your pocket. There's a fairly large menu with lunch specials, coming with a few sides and a choice of sauces.
Ssambap (meat wrapped in lettuce) is a goodin' on the menu! the spicy sauce is a top pick!
Bibimbap is a rice, meat and vegetable dish cooked in a red hot cast iron pot and mixed at your table. It sizzles as you mix it and creates a crunchy layer or rice that's extra delicious!
All the lunch dishes come with a few sides, soup, salad, pickles, and as much rice as you would like!
One of my favourite dishes at any Korean restaurant is the Jjigae (hot pot with tofu and sometimes meat). It's a wonderful dish with a sour and spicy flavour, usually packed with kimchi. I'd definitely recommend this when you come here!

Next time you're in Ogikubo, try authentic Korean food at Ajiya!
