Gotta Catch 'Em All! Pikachu Outbreak in Yokohama, Japan


More than 1500 Pikachu will descend on Yokohama Minato Mirai from 8/9 Fri-8/16 Thu for "Pikachu Outbreak!". This year, the events Pikachu parades and Water Carnivals are powered up, Pikachu on the ground and in the sky, opportunities to take a photo with Pikachu, and Eevee is joining the parade.

Highlights at Pikachu Outbreak!

More than 1500 Pikachu will descend on Yokohama Minato Mirai from Friday 9 Aug - Thursday 15 August for a free event "Pikachu Outbreak!". There will be lots of parades, Pikachu on the ground and in the sky, Water Carnivals, lots of opportunities to take a photo with Pikachu, and Eevee in the parades this year.

Pikachu Walk

The Pikachu Carnival Parade is scheduled for 11:30,13:30, and 15:30 everyday. There will be two parades at night too.

More than 20 Pikachu will line Queens Square Yokohama! A super fun event to spend taking photos and enjoying the parade. Wear something yellow or pikachu related and join in on the fun!

When: 11:30, 13:30, and 15:30 and twice a night
Where: During the day: Queens Square Yokohama ~ Grand mall Park
During the night: Mark IS Minatomirai ~ Grand mall Park

Eevee Walk

This year, not only Pikachu but Eevee will be joining the outbreak. Eevee will be lining and walking the parade in a different place than Pikachu do.

When: 15:00, 16:30, and 18:00 everyday
Where: Shinko Chuo Hiroba

A boat packed full with Pikachu will be the feature in this year's show! Try and spot them to take photos, and share with friends!

"Water Carnival" Super Soaking Splash Show

The Super Soaking Splash Show will be back and even better this year! Have a blast getting soaked, with up to two tonnes of water blasting out from water cannons!

When: 14:30, 16:00, 18:30, and 19:30
Where: Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse

Pokémon Synchronicity

A new presentation style event at the ocean using digital technology. This will show you the new world of Pokemon.

When: 20:00 every night
Where: Minatomirai Naikou

Plenty of Pokemon treats!

There will be lots of Pokemon treats to buy at the event too!

Pokémon GO PARK

Verny Park, Mikasa Park, and Kurihama Hana no Kuni, all in Yokosuka will become the Pokemon Safari Zone. There is no special raid battle and you can only participate in this event by winning the special ticket for the event.

Rare Pokemon up for grabs!

During the event, special pokemons like Unown and Tropius, which are not usually found in Japan, will be available to catch. Do not miss this chance and be sure to catch 'em all!
